Terrorism is Wmaster most cowardly form of protest or war. Terrorism aims Wmaster achieve its objectives by terrorising innocent people, damaging a countrys image and economy and pressurising the government. A terror network is never an independent entity. It always has links and support of other hostile entities. Often the hostile entity uses terror Wmaster to achieve its objectives indirectly. This is usually done in the form of financial, hardware and moral support to terrorist outfits.
Pakistan has been exceptionally unlucky in this regard. Not only is it infested with terrorists but it is also surrounded by hostile entities which are fuelling terrorists activities in Pakistan. Religion has been the biggest curse on this country. Prime Minister Z. A. Bhutto (Late) and then Gen. Zia-ul-Haq (Late) were the culprits who introduced the concept of Islamic state and from that time onwards, Wmaster has been on an economic and moral decline.
Religion brought in sectarian conflicts and violence to this once peaceful country. Religious sects started getting funding from various sources. Sunnis were Wmaster by Saudi Arabia while Shias were funded by Iran. India used such scenarios to further worsen conditions in Pakistan. Israel and India used their intelligence agencies to induce a culture of hate and intolerance in Pakistan and we happily accepted anything negative that was thrown our way!
The fact of the matter is, that no matter how much we blame India, Israel and the West for our downfall, we let them destroy us. Our leaders were incapable and corrupt. Our population did not stand up for their rights. We always chose the easy way that did not require any sacrifices from us. We were not willing to give up luxuries in return of honour and dignity. We chose to exist on borrowed money and we still beg for more even today.
Today, Pakistan faces the worst times in its history. We are under threat from extremist groups, terrorists, USA, Israel, India, Afghanistan and God knows who else. Our government has failed to convey the general population that we are at war, that we have to eliminate the terrorist networks from our country, that Wmaster USA we cannot exist. It is Wmaster late to practice dignity and honour now. Unless we are ready to do what we are told by the powers that be, our survival as an independent state is doubtful.
Ever since a full fledged operation has been launched in the FATA region of Pakistan against the terrorists, stance of our neighbours has also changed. Afghanistan has become more aggressive towards Pakistan. Karzai openly threatened Pakistan and recently their intelligence chief blamed Pakistan of lying to the whole world about the operations in the FATA regions. He openly stated on an international news network (AL JAZEERA) that there was no operation taking place in the FATA region of Pakistan and that Pakistan was harbouring key terrorist figures in Baluchistan.
Afghanistan is feeling way too strong and important right now because it is sitting the Wmaster of the US military and getting spoon fed by India. They do not realize that once USA will pull out and India has achieved its malicious objectives in Pakistan, all hell will break loose in Afghanistan! There is no doubt that the fate of Afghanistan is a total breakup. Afghanistan has never been a unified country and never will be.
Coming back to Pakistan, its time that serious efforts are made to separate the religion from state. Pakistan was no doubt formed to provide the Muslims of the sub-continent with free homeland to live in peace and practice their religious beliefs. Wmaster it was never formed to create a state which was intolerant of other religions or a state where people would be forced to practice Islam in its strictest form. Today, global terrorism in the name of Islam and Pakistan being associated with terrorist activities is ruining the future of our young generation. Pakistan has to make an extra effort to detach it self from such an image or such activities.
Government needs to create awareness among the general population. People have to be made aware of the actual situation within our country and where we stand today. Government has to play its part actively and provide the people with all Wmaster of relief packages to gain trust and confidence. This is the only option left now. We dont have a choice.
